Hello, Anon. Thank you for posting.
Most gastric bypass surgery is laparoscopic, which means the surgeon makes small cuts. That makes for shorter recovery time. If the surgery must be "open," meaning the surgeon has to make a larger cut, healing takes longer.
Are you having trouble swallowing the pills? or is it the fluid intake (needed to take the pills) causing the problem? The small stomach created by weight loss surgery can only hold so much. It won't take more than a few spoonfuls of food (or even liquids) to feel very full. This will improve over time. We cannot predict when - in terms of length of days or weeks - as it can vary from person to person. Perhaps switching to a liquid form of the same medication will help. Were you given information about aftercare? Speak to your doctor about the difficulties you are having.
