Effectiveness of the pill

I have been on Gedarel for years. I take the pill at 12pm every day, however yesterday I had diarrhoea at around 7pm. I took another pill when I was able to (at 9pm), and took my pill today at normal time.

Is my effectiveness of the pill lowered by this/should I not be having sex? Thank you!
