Dull ache/pain in lymph node area in left armpit and along left breast

I am just about 38 years old and for the past 4 to 5 days I have been experiencing a dull ache/pain in what I believe is the lymph node area of my left armpit and into my left breast. The pain comes and goes, it does not hurt to touch, but sometimes the dull ache/pain comes when I take deep breaths in. I am not currently on my period, in fact, this pain started right at the END of my last period just about 4 or 5 days ago, so I feel confident that it's not menstrual related. An LPN friend of mine suggested that it may be my lymph nodes due to a virus and suggested warm compress and Advil. I am not feeling ill, though. I've just been tired a bit and suffered from a headache or two over the past couple of days, but I'm chalking that up as being stressed and busy--we have a big trip coming up next week so my mind is preoccupied with that. I of course have a 'worse case scenario' mentality because my mom died at the age of 58 after a 6 year long battle with Stage 4 breast cancer, so I tend to worry about the worst case.

I wanted to reach out here to see if anyone else had a similar story and any answers to what this might be?

Thanks....
