Hello Anonymous,

If so, she is in her first trimester and both a urine or blood test will detect hCG levels. I will repeat, she needs to see her physician.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

As you and your fiancee may know, diverticulitis results when one or more diverticula, which are small, bulging pouches that form anywhere along the digestive tract, become inflamed or infected. Abdominal pain, usually in the lower left quadrant, is the most common symptom. Feces become trapped in these pouches, allowing bacteria to grow, and cause infection
or inflammation.

I suggest she contact her physician to determine if she is pregnant by having a blood hCG test done, and treat the diverticulitis. To answer your question, early stage pregnancy shouldn't be causing an increase in her pain.

Regards,
Maryann

Well, if she is, she will be about one and a half to two months pregnant. Not sure if that is early stage or not
