My doctor has recently prescribed Livial. I like to keep trim and would hate to be taking a tablet that caused weight gain.

I have been on Livial for the last 10 years and the only time I have picked up weight was when I eat to much or wrong, I just walk past a candy shop or bakery and gain 2kgs, it is that easy for me to pick up but I must admit I did not. I picked up more weight after I stopped smoking wish there is something for that.

I have been on Livial for 6 weeks and have gained 6lbs, despite sticking to my very healthy diet. I did not have a weight problem before taking this drug and my weight had been stable for the last 3 years. This is very disturbing. I will only give it another month and if this doesn't improve I will cease taking it.

Thank you for the note about the misspelling!
I'm not sure what country you are in, but I do not believe Livial is approved by the FDA for use in the United States, although it has been approved in Europe for some time. I looked at the official Livial website as well as several others, and while there looked to be quite a list of possible adverse reactions, I did not see weight gain as one of them on any of the sites.
I hope this helps you. It is a little hard to find good information on this drug on sites that discuss meds in the U.S., so I'm afraid the information I did found may be taken from the manufacturer rather than an independent source.

I am from Australia too and have been on Estradot patches for 2 years with no side effects at all. 6 months ago I began Livial and have gained 6-8kg really rapidly and no matter how much I diet and exercise the weight keeps going up and up. I am just about to stop them and go back to the patches.
