Hello nsbsjdndbsbdbd
Thank you for writing.
I think you may be jumping the gun a little - ask your boyfriend if he did indeed have a cold sore - it's not something you wouldn't know so he'd certainly know by now. If so, your risk is minimal - if not then there is no risk of transfer.

he says he doesn’t know if it was a cold sore or not, is it safe to assume it wasn’t? if it was, it was scabbed over, thank you for your response.

Hi again.
Generally speaking, a person knows if they have a cold sore as they are quite painful and last for days. Does he have a history of cold sores? If so, then it may have been a cold sore but the risk would still be minimal if there was no oral sex.
Best,
Susan

he says he’s had cold sores before but this one didn’t feel like one, i feel like i am now overthinking if i have developed symptoms & i am being very paranoid, sorry for the lack of education on this topic & i thank you for the responses.

It's ok, we're here to help!

Your risk is tiny, if there even is a risk. I'm not trying to be glib but there is nothing that can be done now anyway. Try not to think about it; odds are - you're fine!
