The diagnosis of autism has increased greatly, even within the last 10 yrs. Why so & what is the main cause of this horrible condition in children?

Autism is a serious developmental disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. Many experts say the bulk of the increase stems from a growing awareness of autism and changes to the condition's diagnostic criteria. According to The Autism Society - there is no known single cause for autism spectrum disorder, but it is generally accepted that it is caused by abnormalities in brain structure or function. Brain scans show differences in the shape and structure of the brain in children with autism compared to in neurotypical children. You can find more information below:
