I have been bleeding for 3 weeks now. It started on april 4th . In the begining it was brown blood mixed with red and i got wortied that i may have ovarian torsion so i rushed to the er. I was diagnosed with a cyst on each ovary. They said that they didnt know where the bleeding was coming from . Nect day i followed up with my gynecologist and he said that i must have ruptured a cyst and its normal to have brown/ red bleefing which can last for a week or two .
On april 15th it looked like i hot my period red and full flow.

Today is April 25 and im still bleeding brown and red. When i wipe is bright red. My periods usually last 5/6 days top . I ferl like i can never fully empty my bladder and have pelvic lain and cramps. I am so tired so scared . I dont know what to do.

6-7 months ago i had lsparascopy due to cystoadenona whic was 6 cm.

Apparantly the er said that i have a hemorrhagic cyst and a complex cyst i think on the other ovary .

When my gynecologist did the sonogram he couldnt see anything on my left ovary he just saw one of the cyst on my right ovary and said he couldnt stay looking for it all day snd my bladder seems full and anyway even if it was still there it wouldnt of change in a day or two ( refering to the er results)

Please give ne some advice. I cant sleep im so wortied and i dont know wgat ti do ...

Thank yoj so much for your help. I stopped bleeding around the time of ovulation April 27. However i started bleeding again May 6th. I scheduled an appontment right next day just to make sure its not a cyst that bursted ( as my doctor assumed) . It appeared that it wasn and the cyst on my left ovary was gone , however i have a nirmal cyst that is 4 cm in my right ( apperantly nothing to be worried as those resolve on themselves they said).

They dont know where the bleeding us coming from but they assumed its hormonal. Although back in januRy my prolactin , thyroid etc were ok. ( i have had problems with my pituitary gland in the past and polecting but fir the last year and more it was resolved)
Niw im scared again as i have crampsbut im not in a lot of pain if any just cramping i am just tierd snd exhausted. What can this be?
Thank you so much

Hello Anonymous,

All that you can do is stay in contact with your gynecologist and report any unusual pain or bleeding.

Hang in there,

Hello Mimi25,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your health issue. I can appreciate your anxiety. My best advice to you is to stay in contact with your gynecologist.

Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs or pockets within or on the surface of an ovary.

When internal hemorrhage occurs into functional cysts of the ovary it is called a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst.

Complex cysts aren’t related to your normal menstrual cycle, and they’re less common.

Complex ovarian cysts may need further treatment. Five to 10 percent of women need surgery to remove an ovarian cyst.

Regards,
Maryann
