Q:

CRAMPS!! Help?

About two weeks ago I began having severe, sharp pains and cramps in my side. While it was mostly in my left, the discomfort continued over the next several days, occasionally alternating sides. I am still experiencing these cramps, except now they have been affecting my lower abdomen, pelvic region and upper thighs. They feel a little different than period cramps. Any idea what this could be? My last period started on June 23, so I am expecting the next one any day now. Thanks.

Anon - From the symptoms you're describing, and the way that the pain is escalating and spreading, this doesn't sound like menstrual cramps. Are you having any other problems? Are you having any issues with constipation? Have you noticed any blood in your urine or stools? How are you feeling in general? The more we know the more we may be able to help you. Thanks.
