I have been diagnosed with scoliosis as well as many other back problems. I am in my 70's & my doctor says I will never make it through any more back surgeries. I had back surgery on the 4 & 5 vertebrae in my lower left side of my back. Since then I have gone on Medicare & since I didn't return to have the right side done, I almost feel it's b/c I now have Medicare that the surgeon refuses to do surgery on me on the right side.

Hello Anon
Thank you for writing.
Yes, scoliosis can cause a person to lean toward one particular side - it often does.
Have you discussed a brace with your doctor? Many doctors deal with Medicare, you need a referral to one who does.
