I have been on the Desogestrel for 18 days now, I take them everyday at the exact same time and yesterday I had unprotected sex. He did now ‘pull out’ and I was just wondering if extra precautions need to be taken? When I started this pill I was on my second day of my period.

Guide

Hello. Thank you for posting.

Desogestrel is a progestogen-only-pill or a mini-pill.
Additional contraceptive precautions are not necessary if taken exactly as directed. Which you say you have been doing. If you have been on the pill 18 days now you should be fine. Continue to take it as directed.
