could this get me pregnant?

I was at the lake with my friend yesterday and I went tubing with her 21 year old brother. I am 15. He was basically on top of me the whole time.. Like 10 minutes. So I wouldn't fall off the tube. Is there a chance he ejaculated? Could I get pregnant? And could I get pregnant from using my brothers towel? Please help.

You really don't, Annafnk80. You should be absolutely fine. But the info Alison gave you is invaluable for the future!

We were just tubing. He was on top of me so I wouldn't fall off the tube. No making out or anything. And we had bathing suits on but I just get really paranoid. No I haven't had sex ed but I know you don't have to have sex to get pregnant

Glad to hear back from you!

You are right that you don't need to have sex to get pregnant...but you need to be pretty close to having sex to get pregnant! Lying near someone, holding hands, touching a man's towel or pants...these behaviors would not cause a pregnancy to occur.

A woman can become pregnant from a man who ejaculates near her vagina, and technically they are not "having sex", but their genitals are exposed to one another. Sperm can not travel through clothing, as the sperm (in semen, after a man ejaculates) is actually very fragile when outside the body, and only lives for a few seconds to a few minutes on items of clothing, linens and even body parts that are not moist environments (like, a hand or finger).

Hope this helps!

By "on top of you", do you mean that you both had clothes on, there was no making out...he was just literally lying on you?

I understand you are 15, and I assume you know how pregnancy occurs...right? A man's penis must enter a woman's vagina, and the man ejaculates inside her vagina. Did any of this occur...did you have sex, or were your clothes off?

No, you can not get pregnant from a towel. Can you tell us if you have has any sex Ed claases in school yet? If not, we can talk with you about some of the basics!
