Did you ever get the rash? (some people get the burning/pain but no rash). Or the rash went away, but you are you still having pain? It's common for pain to continue for several weeks after the telltale rash and blisters of shingles have cleared. When pain is still present more than four months later, this is called postherpetic neuralgia (PHN). This condition causes the pain of shingles to last for weeks or months, (sometimes years). At this point, there's no rash, only shooting or tingling pain in a particular area. If you are concerned, see your doctor.

I never got the rash, it's now over 3 months and still have burning and pain. Been to the doctor 3 times. Just put me on anti virals, help for a bit but same symptoms come back. Is it possible to get the rash after all this time??

Thanks for replying. I have asked doctors about the rash. They have no answers. They don't really know themselves. They said some people got the rash 8 months or longer it's just so hard to diagnose. I guess I have to deal with the discomfort.

The burning and pain come and go but no rash. All the symptoms. Took anti viral drugs helped some but comes back. So frustrating! Just wondering if anyone got the rash after months.
