Hi Anonymous,

If it has been three weeks since you took Postinor 2, and you have not had any vaginal bleeding, take a home pregnancy test.

Maryann

Hi I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and I took Postinor 2 but my period has not come as yet. 1 week has gone already since I took the pill and I'm scared because I don't want to get pregnant.

Hi there... i had protected sex with my bf on the 4th of nov. I was not in my fertile phase then. I took postinor 24 hrs later. Just in case. I had abdominal pain for the past two three days.. i am suppose to get my period within a day. Im still not bleeding. Could i be pregnant? But i had sex when i wasn't on my fertile phase, my bf used a condom and i took postinor 2 tablets... could i be pregnant? If no, y is my period delayed then?

Hello Anonymous,

Your period is probably late because you took Postinor 2. The pill contains a synthetic hormone, levonorgestrel. It works by preventing ovulation. Depending on where you were in your menstrual cycle when you took the pill, this could have caused a delay in ovulation and thus the start of your period.

Hi, i had my period on 23/10, had intercourse with my boyfriend on 8/11 and sadly the condom broke, and he ejaculated in me w/o knowing the condom has broken. We went to a hospital and get consultation by local doctor and got postinor2. I taken the first pill 1hr after the intercourse, ans second pill 12hrs after the first pill.
I'm not sure if it is post ovulation but can you advice me if postinor2 has effect on me, how much is the chances of me being pregnant?
Thanks, i'm very worried.

Hello Anonymous,

You will know if Postinor 2 was effective if you have vaginal bleeding. You took the pills as directed, which increases your chances that it worked to prevent pregnancy.

Hi, thanks for your reply. If i took the first pill 8/11 about 11.30pm the second pill 9.11 11.30am, on which day roughly I can expect the vaginal bleeding/withdrawal bleeding.
and on which day is the earliest time I can do a home pregnancy test to get a result.
Thanks.

Hello Anonymous,

What is your "abortion period" ? What "course of emergency pills" are you referring to?

An emergency contraceptive should not be taken more than once in one month.

Hi,
I had set with my girlfriend after 10 days from the start of her period(well in her fertile window). We used a condom and she took first pill of POSITNOR 2 after about 20 hours then next pill after 12 hours. Now it's about 15 days gone from her menstrual cycle and she complaining about abdominal pain. Is that sign of a pregnancy? Please help. Also she bled some blood after taking pills.
Thanks
