Hello,
I'm 24 years old and trying to conceive (for the past 3 months). My husband enjoys a good sex. But I enjoy it very rarely. Moreover, during the act I do not ejaculate at all and my husband is concerned about it. Does this act as a barrier when I'm trying to conceive now? However my husband ejaculates and later I lie down for 5 mins with my hips raised and then wash off my vagina.
We are having sex during the fertile days only and we are also using KY jelly lubricant and saliva. Will this worn out the sperms?
We want a baby soon. So please suggest.

Ejaculation does not equate with orgasm. Most women never experience ejaculation and those who do don't orgasm during every ejaculation.
March 19, 2010 - 1:26pmIt is important for the woman to be sufficiently aroused and stimulated before penetration takes place. It helps the body prepare for the intercourse. not only does the vagina lubricate but it also elongates and becomes more sensitive and engorged with blood. Also the hidden and visible parts of the clitoris get engorged and sensitized.
Since you won't be using additional lube it's extra important for you to be aroused. Otherwise intercourse will be painful and may result in physical damage to your genitals.

Congrats on TTC-- in response to your questions: You do not need to achieve orgasm in order to get pregnant. Of course it makes it that much pleasurable, but definitely not a necessity.
Regarding the KY Jelly: YES, It interferes with your cervical mucus and any form of lubricant is toxic to the sperm. This doesn't mean you can't get pregnant while using KY but when you are ACTIVELY trying to conceive, it is not a good idea to use lubricants. Saliva: It CAN kill sperm, believe it or not. If a man produces enough sperm then it's no big deal. But when a man produces little sperm then he can use all the viable sperm he can get. Again, limit the amount of saliva you are using as lube since you are actively trying.
