I had unprotected sex once and he cummed in me but I checked that vitamin c can reduce the risk so I took it and days later I had a very light period wit no cramps....three weeks later i had another sex and he didn't cum in me and I still took the vitamin c and I am not sure if it worked or not..so I want to find out if it actually reduces the risk

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

There is no guarantee that over-dosing on vitamin C can help prevent pregnancy or induce an abortion although there seems to be some anecdotal evidence that it can help prevent pregnancy for some women. But this is anecdotal evidence, not scientifically based. Since up to one- in- three pregnancies end in miscarriage, there is no real evidence that over-dosing on this vitamin will help. Using contraception will prevent pregnancy.
