I'm getting the chills just by reading to what you have got to experience. I am pretty sure you are a lot stronger as a woman now with all the challenges you have gotten through in life at such an early stage. Thank heavens the surgery went great for you and I pray to God that you will never EVER get those evil cysts again! Best of luck!

Hi jramirez,

I am so sorry that you have more ovarian cysts. You said you are seeing a doctor who will perform surgery, and who will try to save the ovary. However, it sounds like you won't go to that doctor, because you do not have insurance? Have you talked with this doctor or the clinic/hospital about your situation and lack of health insurance? There are some options that they could discuss with you about a payment plan, paying on a sliding-scale or other options.

I'm concerned that you are waiting on this surgery, and the cysts sound extremely large (you said you look like you are 7 months pregnant?). What did the doctor tell you about your timeframe for having surgery?

I am not sure if your ovary can be saved; it sounds like the doctor would try everything in his/her power to save your ovary, but once you are in the surgical room, there is a chance it could or could not be saved, and depends on the size and location of the cysts; something only your doctor(s) can tell you.

Your last question: are you asking if you could get pregnant with ovarian cysts? Women have been pregnant who later found out they had an ovarian cyst, so yes, it is possible. It depends on the size and location of the cysts, among many other factors. However, it sounds like it would be a very high-risk option to get pregnant before you had the cysts removed, even if you were able to become pregnant for both you and the baby, as the cysts sound extremely large. And, without health insurance, it sounds very risky to add a pregnancy to a known-health condition. After your surgery, if your doctor is able to save your ovary, then pregnancy may be an option for you.

What are your options for surgery? If your only option is go to to the county hospital, can you speak with a trusted doctor about the possibility of them saving your last ovary?
