Q:

Can I have a miscarriage without knowing I was pregnant?

Last week I got my period (7days ago) and prior to that I was convinced I was pregnant, my breast were incredible sore, I was tired and a little nauseous and just felt pregnant. I was also 10 days late, but had not yet done a test. On wednesday I got terrible cramping when I received a nasty message from my ex and had to go to the bathroom with a really heavy period. I usually have my period for 5 days max, but I still have it not and quite heavy and painful. I also just dont have a pregnant feeling anymore. I do not have children yet, and my partner and I are trying to conceive. Could this have been an early miscarriage and is this something that will fix itself with time and rest or should I go to the doctor?

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

This sounds very much like a miscarriage, but call and speak with your gynecologist to be certain.

Many miscarriages happen early in a pregnancy before the woman knows that she is pregnant.

Maryann
