Q:

Can I get pregnant if my boyfriend finished on my butt?

Hi. My boyfriend and I had sex two days after the end of my period, we used a condom and lube the whole time. We were running out of time so we decided that he would jerk off outside of me so that he would finish before we had to go. I sat naked on top of his stomach and he finished (he had taken off the condom). When he ejaculated, some of it got on my butt, high near my lower back. When I realized that, I went to the bathroom, checked in the mirror to confirm his semen was only in my buttcheeck, cleaned that first and then cleaned the lube in my butt (he had fingered me) and vagina with an upward movement. I really did try to be cautious, but now I’m super nervous about having chances on being pregnant and from past experiencies I know that when I get nervous about that I get weird symptoms and my period gets late because of anxiety.

What got me anxious today is that I felt super tired at 8 pm and i usually sleep much later (i did sleep less than usual yesterday but I found weird how tired I felt tonight). It’s been 4 days since I had sex and I’m supposed to ovulate in 3 days (My cycle isn’t very precise so I never really know when is it that I’m supposed to ovulate)
What do you think? Am I overthinking or is there a chance I might be pregnant? My vagina was literally on top of his stomach so it was covered when he came and at least for what I saw, the semen was on my upper buttcheek. Help! I think it’s too early to take a pregnancy test

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

If you are not due to ovulate for another three days, then a pregnancy test would be useless because you couldn't be pregnant yet. It takes 5+ days to get pregnant (for implantation to occur) after you ovulated. I'm not sure you know how the reproductive cycle works.
Did you have sex ed at school? If not, it's a good idea to study on your own so you know how sex and the human body works. You can read books on this or search our own site. This will eliminate a lot of stress than the unknown can cause.
A woman cannot get pregnant unless she has unprotected sex (naked) with ejaculation. She would also have to be ovulating or be within five days of ovulation.
Nothing you did could get you pregnant. Sperm on the buttocks or lower back can't get you pregnant. Sperm has to enter the vagina.
