About two weeks ago I missed my pill during my last week off active pills by a few hours (I usually take it at 9AM but I took it at 1PM) then the rest of the week I had to take it around 6AM or 7AM. I did have sex during that week. I did get my period on time last month. I did feel a bit nausea for a few days during my period but after i was done I felt better.I’m almost done with the second week in my pack (so this Sunday I start the last week of active pills) and I don’t have tender breasts. Could I be pregnant??

Hello Jasmine27martinez

Thank you for writing! Please post your question just once as we can only answer once. Thank you for your understanding.

You didn't actually miss any of your pills - you were several hours early or late and this will not make a difference in it's effectiveness if you're on the combination pill. You also got your period which confirms there is no pregnancy.

We cannot say why you have nausea - it could be due to anxiety or simply being on your period. But pregnancy should not be a factor. A pregnancy test can confirm this for you.

Thank you so much Susan! My doctor told me that if you take a pill late your chances of pregnancy increases dramatically! I really appreciate your feed back!!!

Hi again!
I'm glad I could help.
If you are on the mini-pill, you can ovulate if you don't take your pill within 12 hours but this is not the case with the combination pill, I'm not sure why your doctor would say your chances of pregnancy would increase dramatically. A few hours here and there won't make a difference but of course, it's ideal to take them around the same time. Set an alarm on your phone - that can help a lot!
