Can I be pregnant?

I've been having sex with my boyfriend for quite a while now and we had protected sex on the 28th which was one of my most fertile days. However, the condom broke. He did not cum inside me though. I have been actively exercising a lot lately and also been stressing all month about getting my period. My period was due on the 16th april and I still haven't got it. I tried doing the sugar home pregnancy test and that came out to be negative. I'm pretty stressed because the last irregular period I had was in january. Is my period late because of stress/excessive exercise or could I be pregnant?

Guide

Hello. Thank you for posting.

If he is sure he did not ejaculate inside you, there is no pregnancy concern. Your period is likely delayed for other reasons.

For future: according to health.com - Besides hCG, the body doesn’t secrete anything in the urine that would give you a clue that you’re pregnant. So if the test doesn’t measure hCG specifically, and no natural method does, it’s not going to prove anything. It's best to buy a drugstore test.

Best,

Helena
