Welcome to EmpowHER. You need to speak with your sister's physician. Report that you see no improvement in her symptoms and ask what her prognosis is.
Schizophrenia is a severe brain disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally. Hypothyroidism is a condition in which your thyroid gland doesn't produce enough of certain important hormones. Standard treatment for hypothyroidism involves daily use of the synthetic thyroid hormone levothyroxine.
Hypothyroidism does not cause schizophrenia.
