I had a breast reduction in 08,they found precancerous cells when the surgery was done. It was removed that was left breast.Now in 2010 i had a screening and i have calcifications in the right breast had a biospy done is this a early sign of cancer?

Hi Anonymous-
I'm sorry you're going through this, because it is scary. Calcifications are not necessarily a sign of cancer. In fact, they are often non-cancerous. We have information on this topic: https://www.empowher.com/condition/breast-calcifications
I would imagine you will be having a biopsy to check and make sure just what kind of cells are in there. Hopefully the biopsy results will ease your mind. There are cases where the calcifications are in a pattern that indicates cancer, but again, a biopsy will give you your answers.
