blood in stool for a short gut baby

my son is 11 months old. His feedings consist of tpn for 11hrs gtube feedings for 16hrs and he takes neocate by mouth every 3hrs(100mls). The past two days his diaphers have had blood in the stool spoke to his DRS

Dear Anon,

What have his doctors told you about the blood in the stool? I noticed it's been 2 days since you posted this and wanted to know if because your infant has short bowel syndrome, the blood in the stool may be normal? Or did they ask you to bring him in for tests?

Hope your little one is doing better! Keep us posted.
