Guide

Hello,

Spotting normally occurs a few days before and/or after your period.  Spotting between periods is irregular but usually no cause for alarm.

You are supposed to start taking birth control for the first time either the first day of your period, or the first Sunday after your period.  But no matter when you started the pills your body would start responding to the hormones right away and that is why the spotting stopped.

In conclusion, spotting is not a symptom of pregnancy.
