Hi,

I’ve been on the bc pill for almost about 5 years now. April 24 I took plan b because me and my bf didn’t use a condom. I took the plan b 48 hours after the unprotected sex. When I took the plan b I was probably on my 1st week of my new pack of bc pills I continued taking them and got my period on my placebo week no problem. Now however I am on the placebo week and still have not gotten my period. I was supposed to get it on the 4th day of placebo which was this Tuesday and it’s already Thursday and still no period! Also I did miss a pill on May 5th. I usually take it at 10pm but I was over my bf’s house and forgot to take the pills with me so on May 6th I took one as soon as I got home in the morning and the same time I usually take my pill at 10pm that same day (so I took 2 pills that day). But after May 6th I got my period on the expected date which was may 14th that was the month I took the plan b. This month I am not getting any period at all and I’m scared. I did get spotting though 2 days before I was supposed to have my placebo week this month and that was it also spotting on Tuesday but barely recognizable because it was mixed with white discharge. I took a pregnancy test on Wednesday and it came out negative. I also use condoms with my bf along with the pill but there was once this month where we were having sex and one moment we did not use a condom and he penetrated me but he didn’t finish it was just for 1 min and we put on a condom after that. Please help!

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.
The birth control pill is 99.9% effective, there is no need to use condoms for further prevention of pregnancy but they help against infection/disease.
There was no need to take EC.
Your cycle has been changed due to taking it. Keep taking your birth control pills as usual and your period will arrive when it's ready and the effects of EC have worn off. This should happen within a month of taking EC.
