Q:

Am I Pregnant? (repost)

My last period was on Sept 29 so I am 2 months late. I did not have an ACTUAL intercourse with my boyfriend, he just rubs his penis in my vagina and insists that he did not came. I also had a jock itch near my vagina for weeks.. is it possible that the rubbing made me pregnant or the jock itch affected my cycle in some way. Also.. I have history of late menstruation due to PCOS. I think it was last year that I was diagnosed with PCOS. I've taken pills to make my menstrual cycle steady and stopped until it was steady and it has been steady for a while then this came. A 2 months late menstruation.

Hello blacklilith
Thank you for writing!
To know if you are pregnant, you need to take a test. A pregnancy test would be accurate by now. From what you have said, it's not likely you're pregnant but you need to rule it out.

If negative, then your PCOS may be to blame as missed periods are very common. Jock itch or genital rubbing should not affect the cycle because the cycle is dictated by hormones (hence why hormonal disorders like PCOS are a likely cause).

The birth control pill can regulate the cycle and if stopped, the cycle can remain regular for several months.

Your gynecologist can check your hormone levels to know more.

Susan

Thank you for the reply, now I feel like vomiting but doesnt actually vomit. I also had a metallic taste in mouth but has been resolved by a candy. Is there a big chance that I am pregnant? Can I somehow induce my menstruation period because I'm frustrated and doesn't want to get pregnant yet.

Thanks for the reply, right now I'm feeling like I want to vomit but not actually vomiting, I also had metallic taste in my mouth but I ate a candy and the metallic taste goes away. Does this increase my chances of being pregnant? Is there a way I can induce my menstruation because I am now getting frustrated and doesn't want to get pregnant yet.

Hello!

Again, you need to test for pregnancy before anything else or before you stress out too much.
Best,
