Am I pregnant?

I recently posted about how I missed a few birthcontrol pills, then got changed to a different type of pill 5 days after missing some pills. I have had unprotected sex a few times since then while I was breakthrough bleeding and I have missed 2 pills last week and 2 the past couple of days. For the past week or so I have been feeling quiet weird, I have been tired, nauseas, constipated (TMI), and I have been eating so much. My period is due in a couple days and I was just wondering if I could be pregnant or not already? Yesterday and the day before I have had brown discharge when I wiped and I thought this was spotting but I am not sure! (Sorry TMI but I want a good response haha).

Dear twirlwhirl01,

Thank you for reaching out to the EmpowHER community and for sharing your question.

The symptoms that you describe are early pregnancy symptoms or could just be indigestion. It's hard to say without a doctor's exam. A home pregnancy test would certainly be accurate by now. Scary as it is to take one, it can also take away your worries if you are indeed not pregnant and just having mild indigestion or a little flu bug.

Brown spotting can be a sign of implantation bleeding. Here's some information on what implantation bleeding is https://www.empowher.com/pregnancy/content/pregnancy-words-implantation-bleeding-what-it-and-it-normal

twirlwhirl01, the only way to really know is to take a pregnancy test or visit your doctor.

I hope this helps! Best luck!

Kristin
