I have been surfering from endometriois and had two laposcopic.Immediately after the second operaton my doctor decided on IVF. I just had one embryo tranfered yesterday but before the transfer my doctor noticed my ovaries were hyper stimulated and the pain was much. He decieded to cancel the embryo transfer but later said the quality of the embryo drops after freezing.
We went ahead with the transfer and now the I have pain on my lower abdomen & left hip so unabearble. I took paracetamol 100mg and have not slept since then.My stomach is also bloated and I find it difficult stooling or unirating.

Hi gooses and thanks for your update. We're sorry to hear that you're going to have to wait another year, and know this must be disappointing. Hang in there, and good luck! Pat

Hi, I went to the hospital this week and after all the blood tests the doctor said, the CRP was down which means no infection again. I will say fortunately, I have mild symptoms of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and they said will subside naturally with bed rest and some painkillers if I need. I get mild pains from the ovaries especially when I walk.
December 2, 2010 - 9:06amI was only very sad because after all the stressful & mind draining process of IVF, the embryo did not implant. We will try again next year. I am so worried but cannot do anything about my situation, only God will help us.

Hi,
Sorry, I have to reply this late. I was rushed to the hospital that night and was admitted for days too. I had an infection that made my CRP to increase. Now am taking antibiotics drug every 8hourly and my fertility doctor gave me appointment for next week.
Thanks for your reply. I am free of pains again.

Thank you for updating us...we are so happy to hear that you were able to get to the hospital and are doing OK! Your story will help other women, and many of us do try to "work through the pain", but when we have pain that is severe....it is our body trying to tell us something is not right.
Let us know how your fertility appointment goes next week!

Anon - You need to contact your doctor's office and get advice as soon as possible. Typical, mild symptoms would include bloating, nausea, diarrhea and mild stomach pain. The symptoms you're describing are considered serious symptoms that warrant immediate medical attention. Please see the following article for more information: http://infertility.about.com/od/infertilitytreatments/a/ohss_symptoms.htm
If your pain is severe tonight I would contact the doctor on call. Let us know how you're doing, we hope you get the answers and treatment you need soon.
November 17, 2010 - 6:35pmTake care,
Pat
