I suffered a severe TBI at 21, a virgin and my body stopped making progesterone naturally so I have to physically take it now. I just had endometriosis surgery on August 28th and this is my first period after and the last 2 mornings I had a huge blood clot and I wondered if that is worth calling my OB/GYN about, thanks, trying to be healthy because even though I am 44, I am no where near menopause because God is in control and I lost my virginity late in life because of the over medication.

Hello, Anon.

Thank you for your message today!

For the benefit of our readers: Endometriosis is a disorder in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside of the uterus.

Generally, the first period after surgery can often be heavy, crampy, clotty, and longer than usual. Subsequent periods should be much more normal. That said, only your doctor knows the specifics of your condition and procedure, so it's a good idea to call the office, even to speak to the nurse and mention this.
