I gave birth 10 weeks ago and I have not yet gotten my period. My husband and I are having intercourse. It it normal for me to not have gotten my period or can I be pregnant again? post to birth I bleed only a week and that's all. I also do not breastfeed and I had a vaginal birth. Lately I've been experiencing stomach pains and headaches.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Following delivery, a woman will have a vaginal discharge called lochia.

For the first few days after birth, the discharge contains a fair amount of blood and resembles a heavy menstrual period. Normally. the discharge decreases a little each day. By day two to day four, the lochia is more watery and pink in color. About 10 days after delivery, it is decreased a lot and is a small amount of white discharge. In about two to four weeks, the lochia stops.

You should have had a monthly period by now.

Anonymous, have you been examined by your obstetrician since delivery?
Have you told your doctor that you have not had a period yet?

Since you are having sexual intercourse, there is a chance that you may be pregnant. Please give your obstetrician a call and schedule an appointment.

Regards,
Maryann
