Have you ever noticed how the shopping carts at the entrance to the grocers are located in front of the produce section? Once you get into the habit of making healthy choices, nothing else seems all that interesting...except dark chocolate! I admit the occasional craving for salty snacks; justifying those with a healthy glob of fresh guacamole (avocado = MUFA).

All the same, I can't say I've added anything new because I already regularly shop the perimeter. But, if I can add to the list: think "PAW" - pecans, almonds and walnuts - for a healthy snack, instead of chips and buttered microwave popcorn. If you can find them in bulk in the produce section, that would be best.
