I have also heard about people using food to "self-medicate", using primarily carbohydrates to raise their mood (something to do with serotonin levels?) Is this true?
And, is the reverse true: can a healthy diet lead to happiness (well, that is a little over-the-top...but whatever the opposite of "depression" is!)
