Nail on the head..... Sounds exactly like what I experience. I do and have had lower back pain for a long time. I am a long distance cyclists and a couple of years ago had the nerves in my toes go completely numb on the three toes between the big toe and little toe. They never have fully recovered. Lots of numbness in that area 24/7.
