Hi, the information you have provided is very enlightening. I was just diagnosed with osteopenia with one osteoporotic vertebra (the L4). I have been very depressed ever since. Can seem to focus on anything. My doctor has prescribed me a bi-phosphonate called "Bonviva". It is a pill from hell. You won't imagine the side effects I have been getting from them. I just found out that it helps build bone mass but only the spinal bone mass. Is there any bi-phosphote that strengthens all the bones? Is there any chance for an osteopenic patient to get along life without suffering from fractures?
