My grandfather passed away before I became an acupuncturist, but I believe he would have understood what I am doing. He spent a great deal of time talking with his patients and observing them. He treated the entire family. In short, although his medicine was different, his style of treating people is very similar to mine. As for my uncle, he is still skeptical at times.
