I am going on 15 1/2 years of hardware in my right ankle because of car accident...it shattered my ankle bone....2 plates 16 screws....my ankle swells to the size of cantelope...I am in pain daily...I had to learn to walk again and the most comfortable way was to walk with my foot out to the side...I can't find any shoes except flip flops with a wedge...can't run, barely walk...I wished they made boots for people like me....I see all the women with pretty winter boots and I can't wear them...its hard to get a job with a limp....is there any support groups for people with hardware I can contact ? or can anyone tell me shoes that I can get to walk better without pain
