I found this article very interesting as I have been on oestrogen only HRT since my hysterectomy when I was 48 years old. I was put on it by my doctor at the time because of hot flushes and feeling anxious. I have fought hard to keep on it ever since and 12 years ago doctors refused to give me anymore because they were told not to. Luckily I moved to Spain at about the same time and was able to buy it over the counter in the chemist. Now after 12 the UK doctor says yes it’s okay to prescribe it now after all these years. I am in my 70s and I have been taking it now for 22 years and feel so healthy and live a very full life. I would like to be able to keep taking it. I have tried to come off it but felt so terrible.
