When women go through menopause-that is, when they stop having menstrual periods-their bodies stop making estrogen, so the muscles around the vagina and bladder may grow weak.ʺ
A prolapsed bladder can cause a bad odor in the vagina, that is correct. Leaking urine is often the cause of this smell. This does not happen in all cases but is one of the signs that a prolapse is becoming more severe.
