The outcome for pancreatic cancer is often not good- but we cannot tell you if he is terminal or not. The good news is that he is showing improvement cognitively but falls like this can cause temporary confusion so that's normal.
Since he is not a candidate for a colostomy, have you enquired about clinical trials that he may qualify for? If not, please ask his medical team if there is anything that can be done in this area.
