A UTI (urinary tract infection) can cause foul smelling urine, frequent urination, burning pain when urinating, bladder spasm, cloudy urine, dark urine (also caused by dehydration), persistent urge to urinate, sense of incomplete bladder emptying, or blood in urine. Even if your symptoms are mild, I recommend seeing your doctor, especially with your history of cystitis. If it is a UTI, an antibiotic may be prescribed.
Things you can do at home:
Drink plenty of fluids, especially water
Drink unsweetened cranberry juice
Urinating after sexual intercourse can also reduce the risk of UTIs by preventing the spread of bacteria
