We cannot gauge whether a person can take a two hour flight when living with diverticulitis. Our immune system is founded in the gut and stress has an enormous factor in our immune systems functioning capabilities - I say this because some people (like me) who have digestive diseases, can get stress-related flares when travelling. It's important to control your stress.
A diverticulitis-friendly diet can help ease flares and help with recovery.
The Mayo Clinic has advice on this diet here (cut and paste) : https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/diverticulitis-diet/art-20048499
or read the website of Kate Scarlata.
Most people can fly when living with this condition but you won't know until you try. Be prepared.
