Even though you were checked at the local hospital (i'm assuming the ER?) it's still important to see a GYN for a thorough exam. Especially as you had cervical cancer. We would only be guessing as to what might be wrong. It might be nothing, but an evaluation is needed.
As for pregnancy, have you taken a pregnancy test? I agree that it's not likely you would be pregnant. That said, according to the American Pregnancy Association: If you have had tubal ligation surgery in the past and believe that you are currently experiencing pregnancy symptoms, talk to your healthcare provider. Although the probability of getting pregnant is very low, it is still possible.
