A colonoscopy is a bit of a shock to the body - the digestive system can take some time to get back to normal. Your husband needs to keep taking supplements for regularity but since it has been 5 days and his tract was completely cleared out in preparation for this procedure, he shouldn't be backed up too much. However, bloating can happen within 5 days so this could be the cause.
Regarding his kidney disease, is your husband in dialysis? If so, his bloating needs to be reported straight away. Is he on medication? This could also be a cause of the bloating - but this does need to be reported as bloating with kidney disease can be serious. Some kidney patients get edema all over the body, including the abdomen. Please call his doctor. With all he has going on, his doctors will need to pinpoint the actual cause.
