The best way, would be to follow your doctor's instructions, take your medication as prescribed to help with pain, physical therapy often helps as does wearing a knee brace for support, depending on what your doctor advises. Keeping your weight down (if that is an issue) takes pressure off the knees and wearing shoes or sneakers with proper support is very helpful.
