Thank you for your post.

My husband hurt his back this way, getting in (or out) of a car. He twisted wrong and strained his mid back muscles. Until he could get in to see his chiropractor, he alternated ice and heat and took Aleve for pain. I have no way to know if this is your scenario, of course, it may be something else. If it's concerning or very uncomfortable don't hesitate to seek medical help right away. Many towns and cities have Urgent Care facilities. It's always better to err on the side of caution if you feel unsure.
