Hello and thank you for sharing your question.  I am so sorry to hear you are experiencing this pain.  I'd love to give you some information on the subject.

As your doctor said, PCOS does not cause pain.  If you want a regular period there are medications you can take such as Glucophage.

But from what I can tell, your main concern is the pain.  This is mostly likely NOT due to your irregular period.  I suggest that you treat it is constipation.  The left lower abdomen is the exact location of the sigmoid colon which is wear the last digestion happens before the body eliminates waste.  If elimination is delayed or difficult, you will feel pain in this area.

So I recommend that you analyze your bowel movements. A healthy digestive system will eliminate shortly after every meal. This means 3 to 4 bowel movements a day.

If you have a bowel movement less then 2 times a day then the pain you are experiencing is most likely due to toxins building up in the colon that need to be eliminated.
