This is the first time I have heard of TV binge-watching. Maybe because of my age. So, I did some internet searching.
The term "binge-watch" can be traced back to the late 1990s. It was used among television fans who would watch several episodes of a particular show in a row using DVD sets.
In a survey conducted by Netflix in February 2014, 73% of people define binge-watching as “watching between 2-6 episodes of the same TV show in one sitting.”
Here is something to ponder: People who reported greater feelings of depression and loneliness were more likely to binge watch than people who reported being happy.
