Do you know what type of colon test the doctor said you needed? It seems like your ob/gyn would be focusing on your ruptured ovary at this time. I would contact the office and ask to speak to one of the nurses to get more information about what test was ordered and why.
It would seem more likely that a test like a pelvic ultrasound would be ordered to better see inside your ovaries. Doctors also use a surgical procedure called laparoscopy to examine the ovaries.
Let us know what you learn when you contact your doctor's office. It's not clear why you would need a colon test unless you are overdue for a colonoscopy, which is recommended at age 50 and typically done every 10 years.
