Welcome to EmpowHER. There are a few ways that HIV can be spread from one person to another. Such as through sexual contact, pregnancy, breastfeeding, drug injection use and blood transfusion or organ transplant. HIV is less unlikely to transmit through oral sex, but if there are cuts or sores the risk is higher. If you are concerned, it might be best to see your doctor to have blood work done.
